Sony has announced that the PS4 sold over 5.7 million units in the run-up to Christmas in 2015. As of January 3rd 2016, this means that 35.9 million PS4s have been sold worldwide. Sony also revealed that PlayStation Plus membership has increased by 60% compared to the same period last year.

The PlayStation Network is Currently Down
We’re only a few days into 2016 and already the PSN is experiencing issues. A message on the PlayStation website stated that the PSN would be unavailable between 4:30pm to 5:30pm GMT, but it’s now well past the maintenance window and the network is still down.
Full PlayStation Plus Line-up for January 2016 Revealed
The full PlayStation Plus line-up for January 2016 has been revealed, following a partial reveal by Sony earlier. In addition to Hardware: Rivals and Grim Fandango Remastered on the PS4, the January Instant Game Collection also includes Dragon Age: Origins (PS3) and Nihilumbra (PS Vita).

Sony has confirmed the PS4 games that will make up the January 2016 PlayStation Plus update in an email to subscribers. In the email Sony reveals that Hardware Rivals and Grim Fandango Remastered will be two of the six games available in the New Year.
All 4 App Launches on PS4 in UK
Channel 4’s All 4 app is now available to download for the PS4 in the UK. The app will allow PS4 owners to view brand new original digital content such as Channel 4’s Shorts available and exclusive acquisitions including Married At First Sight (US series).
12 Deals of Christmas: Day Twelve
The 12th and final deal in Sony’s 12 Deals of Christmas is now live on the European PlayStation Store. The final deal, available until midnight on 24th December 2015, is Fallout 4 (PS4), give you discounts on the standard and Deluxe Edition of the game.
Rocket League Has Made $50m, with 8 Million Registered Players
According to the Wall Street Journal, Psyonix’s sequel to PS3 title Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, Rocket League, has made $50 million since release (around £33.5m / €45.7m). The game was available as a free download to PlayStation Plus subscribers back in July 2015, and had several paid downloadable content available too.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is the Christmas Number One in UK
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is officially the UK’s number one Christmas game, according to the latest game’s chart. The title managed to beat off newly released Star Wars Battlefront, which came in 2nd place and FIFA 16, which closed in at 3rd place.
12 Deals of Christmas: Day Eleven
The 11th Deal of Christmas is now available on the European PlayStation Store, with FIFA 16 up for grabs. You can save up to 50% on FIFA 16 for the PS3 and PS4 until midnight on 22nd December 2015. Then, only one more deal remains before Christmas.

Sony’s 12 Deals of Christmas is almost over as the tenth deal is now available for purchase. The 10th deal is a must have title for all FPS fans: Call of Duty Black Ops III. You can save on both the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game until midnight on 20th December 2015.
