New games are coming to the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection next week, on Tuesday, 5th April 2016. Six new games will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers for free, including London-based zombie-survival game Zombi (PS4) and team-based shooter Dead Star (PS4). Sony Executive VP Masayasu Ito recently spoke to Japanese newspaper Nikkei about plans for the PlayStation VR, which is releasing on October 2016. In the report, Ito has revealed that Sony are looking to “expand in a variety of areas” when it comes to PlayStation VR, which could mean support for PlayStation VR on PC.
Psyonix has announced via twitter that a new mode is coming to Rocket League in April. The new mode, called Dunk House, will add a basketball-style arena, requiring payers to score goals – or points – via an aerial hoop. The mode will be free to download.
Over the past week, there has been a number of industry reports claiming that Sony is working on a upgraded PS4 model that will support 4K resolution. Kotaku and Eurogamer were the first to report the news, which has now been backed up by the Wall Street Journal.
Sony has announced that pre-orders for the stand-alone version of PlayStation VR are to begin in North America next week, on 29th March 2016. The PlayStation VR bundle, containing everything you need to start playing including the PlayStation Camera and VR Worlds game, is already available for pre-order for $499.
Telltale Games has confirmed that the fifth and final episode for Minecraft: Story Mode will be released next week, 29th March 2016. The final episode in the season, titled Order Up! will be available across all platforms next Tuesday. Telltale has also confirmed that three extra episodes will be released in 2016, but won’t be part of the season pass.
Taking a break from Final Fantasy XIV and have yet to checkout the new content added in Patch 3.2? Square Enix is currently running a free login campaign, giving gamers up to 96 hours of free playtime. The free login campaign ends on April 14th 2016 at 7:00am GMT.
Sales of the PlayStation Camera have skyrocketed following the PlayStation VR announcement earlier this week. The camera is required for the VR headset to function, but won’t be included with the device. VideoGamer.com reports that sales for the camera has increased by a massive 975% following the announcement.

The deal, available via the PlayStation Store, is only available if you don’t currently have an active subscription and will save you a tenner of the regular price. The promo is only available until 10.00 GMT on 31st March 2016.
