Sony is once again allowing gamers the chance to beta test the next PS4 Firmware update, giving those able to get access a sneak peek into the new features coming to the console. The beta program will kick off in early March, and you can sign-up here to take part. If you’re successful, you will receive an email on how to download the beta firmware.

PlayStation Network Scheduled Maintenance on 3rd March 2016
The PlayStation Network will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on the morning of Thursday, 3rd March 2016 for approximately 2 hours. The maintenance will take place between 5:30am GMT and 7:30am GMT, which won’t affect many gamers in Europe, but will hit gamers in North America, especially those on the West Coast.
12 New Maps Revealed for Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2
If you enjoyed Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, the sequel is expected to be even crazier and bigger than the first. In fact, PopCap have just released a video showing the 12 new maps you can expect in the game, with each one showing incredible attention to detail, while also including hidden secrets, and easter eggs.
PAL PlayStation Store Chart for January 2016
SCEE has released the PlayStation Store chart for January 2016, revealing the most downloaded PlayStation titles in Europe from the PlayStation Store. On the PS4, Rocket League was the most downloaded title, while Star Wars Battlefront slipped to 2nd place after topping the chart in December 2015.
Doom Release Date Announced for PS4
id Software has announced that DOOM will be releasing on PS4 worldwide on May 13th 2016. A collector’s edition of the game will be available for die-hard fans. The game will include a single-player campaign as well as an online multiplayer mode. Check out the gameplay trailer below.

Limited Edition Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End PS4 Revealed
Sony and Naughty Dog has announced a Limited Edition Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End PS4 bundle, which comes with a Uncharted branded Grey Blue 1 TB PS4 console, a physical copy of the game and a matching DualShock 4 controller. If you’ve already got a PS4, you can also get the DualShock 4 controller separately.
DUST 514 to Close in May 2016
CCP have announced that its free-to-play PS3 shooter, Dust 514, will close at the end of May. The game has been running for the last three years, since it was first launched in May 2013. It also means that the planned v1.3 update won’t be releasing for the game, as originally planned.
EU PlayStation Store Update for 2nd Feb 2016
New content is available on the European PlayStation Store today, with nine new PS4 games available, including Gravity Rush Remastered and Not A Hero. You can also find a handful of new PS3 and PS Vita games. February 2016’s Instant Game Collection is live today too, with six new games available to download for free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
