The US PlayStation Store chart for April 2017 reveals Persona 5 as the top selling digital PS4 game, with some old favourites re-entering the chart due to various promotions. On the PS3, Persona 5 came in 3rd, and Mortal Blitz topped the PlayStation VR Chart. Full details below.
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which releases on 22nd August, was originally pegged as DLC for Uncharted 4. But now that it’s a standalone game, trophy hunters will be happy to know that the game has a Platinum trophy to unlock.
The April 2017 charts for Europe have been released, detailing the top selling titles on the PlayStation Store. Last month, FIFA 17 was the top selling on the PS4, despite a number of new releases like Persona 5 and Outlast 2. March’s top selling title, Horizon Zero Dawn, dropped massively on the chart, finishing in 20th place.
Sony has released the financial report for fiscal year ending 31st March 2017, revealing the latest PS4 sales figures. The report shows that Sony has a fantastic year, selling 20 million PS4s in 12 months, beating the previous year’s figure of 17.7 million units.
Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. The game is a PS4 remaster of the PS2 classic, and will feature higher resolution character models, an updated soundtrack, and a job system that wasn’t released to the West. Check out the new trailer below.
Sony has some great titles in store for PlayStation Plus subscribers in May 2017. Six new games will be available to download for free from Tuesday, 2nd May 2017, which include Housemarque’s Alienation (PS4) and Telltale’s Tales from the Borderlands (PS4).
Sony has added fifteen new family friendly games to the PlayStation Now library in Europe, which includes How to Train Your Dragon 2, Sonic Adventure 2 and Ibb & Obb. The complete list of new titles can be found below, and are included in the PlayStation Now subscription.
Last month, Ubisoft’s multiplayer sandbox Ghost Recon Wildlands was the top selling title according to the US PlayStation Store Chart. The game managed to beat the other newcomer Mass Effect: Andromeda, which sold well to come in third place.
Less than a year after release, Sony will be shutting down the servers for free-to-play title title Kill Strain on the PS4. First released on 12 July 2016, the title appears to have flopped and failed to build up a decent online community. In addition, Sony has announced that other titles will also be losing their online components.
Naughty Dog have released a new trailer for Uncharted: Lost Legacy, and revealing the game’s official release date and price tag. The stand-along game (not part of Uncharted 4) will retail for €39.99/£29.99, and will be available from 23rd August 2017.
