PS4 Firmware v4.50 is officially available as of today, bring with it lots of new features and improvements. Since the changelog for the beta was revealed, Sony has managed to add in extra features including automatic activation of the PS4 as primary system on first login, in-game chat compatibility using Remote Play and more.

The full changelog for PS4 Firmware v4.50 has been leaked, revealing more details about the upcoming firmware update. The changelog reveals that a USB 3.0 HDD must be used to make use of the external HDD feature introduced in this firmware update. Other changes include posting of animated GIFs, changes to the Notification system so all notifications appear in a single list, and changes to make creating sub-account much easier.

Sony has released another minor firmware update for the PS4, updating the system software to version v4.07. The update is mandatory, which means you’ll need to update to the latest version before you are able to access the PlayStation Network.

Earlier last week, on 17 November 2016, Sony released an update to the system software for the PS4, brining the current firmware version to v4.06. This is a minor update to the software, simply improving the system performance, but it’s a mandatory update. You’ll need to update your PS4 to v4.06 before you are able to access the PlayStation Network and play online.
