The final two episodes of the Uncharted: Eye of Indra motion comic are now available to purchase from the PlayStation Store. Episode 2 was released last week, just before Thanksgiving so be sure to check it out in case you missed it. Episodes 3 and 4 can be downloaded from the Store for $0.99 / £0.79 each – you can download the whole collection (four Episodes) for $2.97.
This week on the PlayStation Video Store, you can find Terminator Salvation and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian on the US Store. On the UK Store, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country is now available to purchase as well as a number of other titles. A number of new videos are also available to download, including the Avatar Trailer and a Terminator Salvation Featurette.
Remember the Modern Warfare 2 Special-Ops Trophy Hack we posted earlier this week? Well, a new hack has been discovered, this time for unlocking the Veteran Mission Trophies. Just like the previous hack, you simply need to edit your gamesave data with the file below and replay a mission to unlock every mission in Veteran difficulty. This week on the PlayStation Store, the Bayonetta Demo is now available to download from both the European and US Stores. The European Store has special offers on a number of PSP and PS3 titles and add-on content. Just in time for Christmas, you can pickup a free Santa Costume for Sackboy (EU and US) or download some premium Christmas themes from the US Store. A new episode of PULSE is available to download as well as the December issue of Qore.
Today marks 15 years since the PlayStation was first launched in Japan. Although the west didn’t get the hardware until almost a year later, today is the system’s actual birthday. The PlayStation (and PSOne) was the first console to reach the 100 million sales mark, achieving a total of 102.49 million units on March 31, 2005. Sony ceased production of the PlayStation on March 23, 2006, over 11 years after it was first produced.
The MAG Beta is coming to an end this week, making it the last chance to play the game until it is released early next year. The beta will end on Saturday 5th of December, at midnight. To bring the beta to an end, Zipper Interactive have organized a challenge for tomorrow evening (Friday, December 4th 2009). All you have to do is log on when the time is right, join a queue, and look for players with the distinguishable Zipper clan moniker to see if you have what it takes to beat Zipper.
On the December 17th 2009, European PS3 owners will be able to download a special version of Gran Turismo 5, entitled the GT Academy 2010 Time Trial. The Time Trial is also one of the prerequisites to taking part in the 2010 GT Academy. Qualify in the top twenty within your country and you will be invited to a national final event, where you will pit your wits against the best Gran Turismo drivers in the country.
The Street Fighter 4 Game Space in PlayStation Home has been updated with new costumes. A total of seven new costumes have been added. For the men there will be Balrog, M. Bison, Sagat, El Fuerte, Rufus, and Akuma. For the ladies a C.Viper costume will be available. While you are in PlayStation Home, don’t forget to check out the Presentation Podium which was re-opened today.
Qore Episode 19 will be available to download from the PlayStation Store later today. The December Episode features a in-depth preview of Capcom’s Dark Void, Level-5 Inc’s White Night Chronicles and EA’s The Saboteur. Following from last month’s coverage of ModNation Racers, Qore subscribers will receive exclusive access to the ModNation Racers Beta Test.
If you are having a hard time earning the 69 stars in the Special-Ops missions in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, we have a little surprise for you. The hack, which was discovered by Nis-Gens aka MagicN, uses a savegame exploit to unlock all the trophies for Spec Ops – thats up to 11 trophies depending on how many you may have already unlocked.
