PS3 Firmware 4.20 was released a few days ago, and it looks like a few other changes made it into the system software that weren’t mentioned in the official changelog. A couple of changes were picked up by PS3UltraSlim that might back up rumours of a super slim PS3.
The PlayStation Move Racing Wheel will be coming out this fall, but some of you may want to know more about the peripheral before you decide to splash you cash on it. Luckily, the folks over at the PlayStation.Blog have put together a handy Video Tour of the device.
Originally scheduled for June, the first multiplayer DLC for Max Payne 3 will now be released in July. The “Local Justice” DLC pack will launch on July 3rd on the PlayStation Store in North America, while Europeans will get the DLC a day after on July 4th.
Sony will be attending the Tokyo Game Show scheduled to be held in September, however, Microsoft and Nintendo won’t be showing up. Microsoft and Nintendo are both missing from the exhibitors list on the TGS website.
Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection is now available to download exclusively from the PlayStation store. The collection features both Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles and is available for just €26.99 / £21.99. Both titles have been re-mastered with HD graphics and PS Move compatibility so that you can immerse yourself fully in the intense, shooty world of Resident Evil.
The Last of Us, currently being developed by Naughty Dog, will support multiplayer according to game director Neil Druckmann. Speaking to Gaming Examiner, Druckmann didn’t reveal details abou the multiplayer mode, but said there will be no “co-op within the main campaign.”
New DLC for Gran Turismo 5 is now available to download from the PlayStation Store. Two DLC packs were added to the Store this week: a map pack containing two new tracks, and a new car. The latter is free to download, while the track pack will cost you €4.99/£3.99.
On June 25th 2012, Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) published an updated Executive Appointment list revealing that key Sony staff have stepped down from their previous positions. For one, Kazuo Hirai has stepped down as Representative Director and Chairman but continues his role as CEO of Sony as whole.

LittleBigPlanet fans wanting to try out the beta can sign up to the beta (instructions below) and get exclusive access to the latest LittleBigPlanet title. The goal of the Beta is to get feedback on the overall experience, including reporting bugs and improvements to make the game better.
