Sometimes the game you want to play the most is the simplest one. Modern console titles are terrific and there’s no shortage of games with complex, innovative gameplay and jaw-dropping graphics. But less can truly be more, and there are certain types of games that are always fun no matter how they’re played.

SOE Releases The Agency Trailer
Sony Online Entertainment’s title, The Agency, has been talked about for a long time now but not much footage has been released. Sony has announcements planned for the game this week at E3, and they’ve also released a new trailer. The PlayStation Exclusive title looks more polished in the new trailer, which you can check out below.
Firmware 3.21 Can Be Skipped To Save Your Linux OS
If you would like to keep Linux and the OtherOS option open on your PS3 and have not yet updated to the latest firmware update, you can continue to use the PSN services through a cleaver hack. The hack doesn’t require any hardware modifications to your console and does not void your warranty – it simply tricks the console into thinking there is no update available.
Sony Advising Not to Use PS3 Until System Fix Available
Today marks one of the biggest fails in PlayStation history, with thousands of PS3 units experiencing issues due to a system clock issue. The PlayStation 3 was released in North America and Japan November 2006 and has passed four years without the March 1st issue causing an issue. Unlike we previously reported, the issues are not entirely related to the PlayStation Network.
Firmware 3.15 Now Mandatory
Firmware 3.15 which came out in early December 2009 is now mandatory to install. The firmware is needed for many new and upcoming titles, though most of you probably already have it installed. If you have already installed the latest update, this new does not affect you. Gamers who haven’t updated will be prompted to download it when they boot up their PS3.

MAG Dated for Europe
Zipper Interactive’s latest game, MAG, has been given a European release date The 256-player online-only shooter will be available in North America on January 26th and will hit European stores just three days later, on January 29th 2010. Q1 of 2010 is looking hot for Sony, with the release of Heavy Rain in February and God of War III, Gran Turismo 5 and Final Fantasy XIII in March.
