Due to economic challenges, Sony will be increasing the price of the PS5 Digital Edition in select markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Australia and New Zealand. As of today, the PS5 Digital Edition will cost £40 more in the UK and €50 more in Europe.
The price for the PS5 Pro will remain unchanged. The new prices, as of today, 14th April 2025, are as follows:

However, to counter the price increase, the cost of the PS5 Disc Drive will be lowered slightly. The PS5 Disc Drive will lowered to the following prices from today, 14th April 2025:

UK | £69.99 |
Australia | AUD $124.95 |
New Zealand | NZD $139.95 |
This is the second time Sony has increased prices of the PS5 around the world. The last increase was back in August 2022.
