Sony has released a new firmware update for the PS5, updating the system software to v24.08-10.40.00. This is a minor update that improves the data transfer process to another PS5 as well as usability on some screen.
The last major update, PS5 System Software v24.06-10.0.00, added a number of new features and improvements, including a new Welcome Hub, and personalised 3D audio profiles for headphones. In comparison, this update is a minor update. You can check out the full release notes below.
