Helldivers 2, which released in February 2024, has become PlayStation’s fastest selling game. The game sold 12 million copies in as many weeks, beating the previous record holder God of War Ragnarok. In the same time period, God of War Ragnarok sold 11 million copies.
The comparison between Helldivers 2 and God of War Ragnarok may not be like-for-like, but its a great achievements nonetheless. For one, God of War Ragnarok sold for £69.99 – double the price of Helldivers 2, which is on the PlayStation Store for £34.99.
