Sony has released a new firmware update for the PS5, updating the system software to v22.02-06.50.00. This minor update “improves system performance,” but also adds support for the new DualSense Edge controller, which comes out on 26th January 2023.
You can check out the release notes for this latest firmware update below. If you’ve left your PS5 settings unchanged and have an active internet connection, you’re likely to find that this latest firmware update has already been installed while in rest mode.
