According to a report by Bloomberg, Santa Monica Studio’s highly anticipated God of War Ragnarök for the PS5 and PS4 is planned for release this November. This is despite other reports this week suggesting that the game’s release date has slipped into 2023.
The news comes from “three people familiar with the game’s development”, with Sony expecting to make an official announcement later this month. The game was first announced in 2020, but has been delayed a number of times due to the pandemic and other production challenges.
Sony hasn’t made any official announcements on the release date other than a 2022 release window back in June 2021. It’s also been rumoured that Sony is planning a State of Play broadcast dedicated to the game ahead of it’s release.
We’ll soon know what the situation is, if the report is to be believed. Of course, it would be disappointment to fans if the game is delayed yet again.
