A new trailer for God of War: Ragnarök was revealed at the PlayStation Showcase earlier today, giving a real look at the game’s story, the new characters you’ll meet, and more. The game pick up a few years after the events of God of War (2018), with Atreus looking much older.
The trailer features two of the main characters you’ll face: the once-ally-turned-enemy Freya, and Thor. Fans who played the last game know they were able to visit six of the nine Realms during their journey, but in God of War Ragnarök, you will be able to visit all nine – including the previously unreachable Vanaheim, Svartalfheim, and Asgard.
God of War: Ragnarök will be releasing on the PS5 and PS4 in 2022, but an exact release date has not yet been revealed. Sony has already announced a $10 fee to upgrade from the PS4 version to the PS5 version for God of War: Ragnarök, and other future first-party games.
