Guerilla Games have released a new update for Horizon Zero Dawn, updating the game to v1.53. The patch improves PS5 backwards compatibility, allowing up to 60 FPS on the console. The patch is available download and install now.
A number of first-party games have received similar performance updates in the past, including The Last of Us Part II, God of War and Ghost of Tsushima. The release of the patch was announced alongside the release date for the game’s sequel Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Forbidden West will be releasing on the PS5 and PS4 on 18th February 2022. The game was previously expected to release by the end of 2021. but has been pushed back due to ongoing challenges around the COVID-19 pandemic.
