Rockstar Games will be shutting down the online servers for three of their PS3 and Xbox 360 games towards the end of this year, the company has announced. The three games include Max Payne 3 and L.A. Noire and GTA Online, and will start to go offline from September. The single-player / offline modes will be unaffected by the server shutdown.
For GTA Online, the server shutdown will be just over 8 years after the game originally launched on the PS3, and given that the game is coming to the PS5 in November, it makes send to retire the game on the discontinued console.
