Sony and CD Projekt Red have confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be returning to the PlayStation Store next week, on 21st June 2021, just over 6 months after the game was pulled from the Store. However, Sony is advising gamers to play the game on the PS4 Pro or PS5, as the game still has issues on the PS4 console.
The game still suffers from performance issues on the PS4 due to the less powerful hardware compared to the PS4 Pro and PS5 consoles. The game does work on the PS4, but you can expect performance and stability issues on the PS4, until the game is patched and updated.
A Sony spokesperson told IGN:
“SIE can confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 will be re-listed on PlayStation Store starting June 21, 2021. Users will continue to experience performance issues with the PS4 edition while CD Projekt Red continues to improve stability across all platforms. SIE recommends playing the title on PS4 Pro or PS5 for the best experience.”
Despite Cyberpunk 2077 being pulled from the PlayStation and Xbox almost immediately after release, and CDPR offering refunds for the game, the company was still made a huge profit on the game. The last update to the game was back in April, when v1.22 was released, so another update is long overdue.
