In preparation for the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on the PS5 later this week, the PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake has received a new patch, updating the game to v1.02. The patch enabled the “Upload Save Data” menu option that will allow your save data to be transferred to the PS5 version.
The “Upload Save Data” menu option will allow your save data to be uploaded to the cloud, where Square Enix will work some magic, so it can then be downloaded on to the PS5. The patch is just over 226 MB in size, so won’t take very long to download and install.
If you own Final Fantasy VII Remake on the PS4, you will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free (disc will be required to play the PS5 version if you own the physical PS4 version). However, the Yuffie DLC, called “Episode Intermission” will be a paid extra for any version. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade releases on the PS5 on 10th June 2021.
