Naughty Dog has released a new patch for The Last of Us Part II, which enhanced the game when played on the PS5 via backwards compatibility. The v1.08 patch adds a new Display option that allows players to choose between 30fps or 60fps frame rates.
The frame rate improvements are in addition to other enhancements were added to the game in a previous patch, which includes faster loading times. The game’s resolution is still locked to 1440p on PS5, however, Naughty Dog says that this is just the start for the PS5.
The team has been digging into the PS5 hardware and the possibilities it unlocks since launch last year and we’re excited about what the future holds. This patch is just the first step of working on the PS5. We’ll let you know when we’ve got more news to share!
