PlayStation Now will be getting a big upgrade over the coming weeks to add Full HD support to the streaming service. This means that compatible games can soon be streamed at 1080p resolution, up from 720p. The upgrade will benefit PS4 games available on the service which support 1080p.
Unfortunately, most PS3 games only run at 720p, so these games will not benefit from the higher resolution. Obviously, your internet connection will also play a part in the stream quality, so you’ll need a fast connection to benefit from the upgrade.
The rollout will occur over the next several weeks across Europe, US, Canada, and Japan, where PlayStation Now is available. The news of the upgrade was tweeted by PlayStation last week:
