Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is heading to the PS5 on 12th March 2021, with a number of enhancements to the game. Developer Toys for Bob as detailed what you can expect from the PS5 version of the game in a new video.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will take full advantage of the PS5 hardware, starting with support for native 4K targeting 60fps and enhanced 3D audio (with compatible headset).
The DualSense controller will be fully supported with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. Using the controller’s adaptive triggers, you’ll feel the force of Neo Cortex’s DNA-changing blaster, the grip of Tawna’s Hookshot, the power of Crash’s Jetboard, and really feel the suction when you vacuum with Dingodile.
The PS5’s Activity Cards features will be used to give players a clear breakdown of their progress throughout each of the game’s dimensions. Activity cards allow you to track your progress and help you hit your goals in time trials, flashback levels, and boss fights. So wherever you are on your multi-dimensional quest for completion, you’ll have the help you need to get ahead.
If you already own the digital or physical version of the PS4 game, you’ll be able to upgrade to the PS5 version at no extra cost, but as always, the PS4 disc will be required to play the game on the PS4. The PS5 version will allow your save data to be transferred over from the PS4, so you can continue where you left off.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time comes to the PS5 on 12th March 2021 at the suggested retail price of $59.99 USD / £59.99 / €69.99. You can always pick up the PS4 version for cheaper and then upgrade when the PS5 version is available.
