Destruction AllStars has been free to download for PlayStation Plus subscribers since it launched on 2nd February, but it won’t be around for long. The title leaves PlayStation Plus on 6th April 2021, when the PlayStation Plus line-up is refreshed, after which you’ll have to pay to download the game.
Developer Lucid Games has revealed that the game will cost $19.99 / €19.99 for anyone that didn’t snag it for free. So if you have PlayStation Plus (and even if you don’t have a PS5), be sure to add the game to your Library before it’s too late.
The $19.99 is a considerable difference to the $69.99 price that was expected game was originally announced as a PlayStation 5 launch title. Lucid Games said the new price point would help to “ensure the mayhem will continue long after our PlayStation Plus promotion comes to an end.”
The game will be getting new content over the coming weeks and months, including the following new game modes coming later this month:
- Mayhem 8v8
- Stockpile 4v4
- Carnado Solo
The above game modes are new variations based on the modes that launched with the game. New skins will also be making their way to Destruction AllStars in the coming weeks and months.
