The online multiplayer mode for Red Dead Redemption 2 will be getting a standalone edition, Rockstar Games has announced. Red Dead Online will be available to purchase and download next month for a rather low introductory price of $4.99.
The introductory price will be available until February 2021, and will apply to all platforms the game will release on, including PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store and Steam.
In the online mode, you can choose one of five Specialist Roles, including Bounty Hunter, Naturalist and Trader. And you can choose between a series of story-based cooperative missions for two to four players, or competitive modes for teams and individuals.
Like Rockstar’s GTA V, Red Dead Online also receives regular updates and new content. This may only get better as the game spins off into a standalone version.
