Sony have revealed a list of media and streaming apps that will be available on the PS5 from launch, which can be accessed from the new Media tab. So far, ten apps have been confirmed to be available on day one, including Netflix, YouTube and Apple TV.
Within the Media space, you’ll no longer need to download entertainment apps through PS Store, like you did on the PS4. Apps available in your country will automatically appear in the Media tab.
The following streaming services have been confirmed:
- Apple TV
- Disney+
- Netflix
- Spotify
- Twitch
- YouTube
- Amazon Prime Video
- MyCanal
- Hulu
- Peacock
Other services are also expected to be available, and the above list isn’t exhaustive. The PS5’s new Media Remote also has dedicated buttons to launch the following entertainment apps: Disney+, Netflix, Spotify and YouTube.
