Ubisoft have announced a new system called Ubisoft Connect, which will allow cross save and progression on Ubisoft games to follow you from platform to platform. The system is due to launch on 29th October 2020 as a free service.
The service can be accessed on PC, Mobile (via an app), or directly through games. You will need a Ubisoft account to use the service, which will only be supported on the new and upcoming games, including:
- Hyper Scape
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Riders Republic
Besides the cross-save functionality you can access your stats at any time to compare your progression with your friends, see highlights of your best performances, and even get personalised tips to help you become a better player.
The service will combine Uplay and the Ubisoft Club into Ubisoft Connect. Similar to the current Ubisoft Club, Connect will enable players to earn various rewards as they work their way through their purchased games.
Players will earn Units with each new level reached and can spend these to unlock unique rewards and in-game items for their games, including weapons, skins, costumes, and consumables.
The reward system will be compatible with older games, but instead of adapting the older challenge system, Ubisoft will give away all the rewards from previous games to all players.
