The PS5 boot sequence appears to have been leaked in Russian video, showing what part of the PS5 User Interface (UI) will look like. It’s very similar to the one Sony revealed back in June, but with slightly extra footage.
The source of the video can’t be authenticated, but it does look convincing. However, it also doesn’t fit with what we’ve been told about the speed of the console, which is expected to boot up in seconds.
The video was first posted on reddit. The black DualSense controller is apparently the one that comes with development kits, and appears to be authentic too. The video doesn’t show much else, like the actual menu system and how it will compare to the PS4’s dynamic menu.
Images of the PS5 UI were also separately leaked, showing the PS5 will only have 664 GB of usable space after the OS and formatting. These images are less convincing as you will see a mouse cursor in two of the images, indicating these were likely taken on a PC.
