Sony held a PS5 Showcase earlier this evening, showing off more games for the upcoming console. In case you missed it, here is a summary of the event, including the new trailers and details, including release date and price.
The event kicked off new new trailers and game footage, including a Final Fantasy, which will be a PlayStation console exclusive, new footage of previously revealed games and more juicy details.
First, the details that everyone was waiting for: launch date and price.
As rumoured, the PS5 will cost $499 / £449 / €499 for the Standard Edition, and $399 / £359 / €399 for the Digital Edition. The console will launch in US, Japan, Canada, Medico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea on 12th November, followed by the Rest of the World (including UK) on 19th November.

Final Fantasy XVI
Footage for this game was captured on a PC, emulating the PS5 environment, which will be a PlayStation console exclusive.
Spider-man: Miles Morales
New footage of the upcoming Spider-man game was shown in the live stream, and the first gameplay footage for the game. It starts with a cut-scene and then seamlessly turning into gameplay footage. Following on from some commentary, we take a look at an epic fight scene with actual gameplay footage. The game will be releasing “Holiday 2020”.
Hogwarts Legacy
A new Harry Potter game was shown off, taking a trip to Hogwarts way before the events of Harry Potter – in the 1800s to exact. The game will be an immersive, open-world action RPG, and will be releasing in 2021.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
New footage from the upcoming Call of Duty game takes a look at the first missing in the campaign mode, which involves taking down a high value target in Turkey. The missing starts as a covert op, soon turning into a vehicular chase that involves taking down an aircraft.
Starting on Friday, 18th September 2020, PlayStation owners will get early access to the CoD: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Alpha.
Resident Evil VII: Village
New footage from the horror title was shown off in the live stream, with the game releasing in 2021.
Deathloop
A new trailer from Deathloop showing new enemies more gameplay footage.
Devil May Cry 5
A new Devil May Cry game is coming to the PS5, with a digital version available at launch of the console. It’s unclear if this means a PS4 version that will work with the PS5 or a specific PS5 enhanced version.
Oddworld: Soulstorm
A new trailer from the Oddworld game showing a very brief look the new environments, threats and characters from the game.
Five Nights at Freddy’s
A brief look at Five Nights at Freddy’s with a teaser trailer of the game.
Demon’s Souls
Gameplay footage from Demon Soul was revealed showing the game’s amazing graphics and fluid gameplay. The trailer also shows some of the bosses and enemies players will encounter in the game.
Fortnite
A very brief look at Fortnite for the PS5, which will be a launch title.
God of War Ragnorak
A new God of War was revealed at the every end of the stream, heading to the PS5 in 2021.

This new benefit will be called the PlayStation Plus Collection, and game will be downloadable to the PS5 and enjoyed on the console. This also means that the above games are confirmed to be backwards compatible on the PS5.
