A new extended trailer for PS5 title Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has been released by Sony and Insomniac Games during Gamescom Opening Night Live. The 7-minute gameplayer trailer is an extended version of the demo shows at the PS5 reveal event.
Insomniac has also revealed that the game will be coming out during the PS5’s “launch window”, which could mean some time within the first few months following the console’s launch, which is still unconfirmed.
Insomnia and Sony are keen to show just how good the PS5’s SSD is, by switching between realities or environments in the game, which take just a couple of seconds. The game will still have loading screens (around the 4:20 mark in the above trailer), but hopefully they won’t be noticeable.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is one of two games that Insomniac have in the works for PS5, the other being Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
