Sony has started emailing gamers in the US to register their interest for PS5 pre-orders directly from PlayStation. The email states that a limited quantity of PS5s will be available and are allowing customers to register their interest. The pre-order process, however, does not guarantee that everyone who registers will get a PS5.
Pre-order reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-serve basis, so once you get an invite via email, you will have limited time to complete the pre-order process. If you live in the US, you can register your interest here.
Pre-orders will be limited per PSN ID, allowing you to only order the console and accessories in limited quantities. Only one console and 2 DualSense controller will be allowed per PSN ID. The limitations are as follows:
- 1 PS5 Console or 1 PS5 Digital Edition
- 2 DualSense wireless controllers
- 2 DualSense charging stations
- 2 Pulse 3D wireless headsets
- 2 Media remotes
- 2 HD Cameras
The pre-orders are also limited to the US only. Anyone who pre-orders without a US address will have their orders cancelled. You can read the full pre-order FAQ here.
