Activision and Beenox have announced that the next Grand Prix event will be its last. The final Grand Prix will see players heading to Nitros Oxide’s home planet of Gasmoxia. The event will add a new track, a new character, and three karts to the game.
The track is called Drive-Thru Danger, which is set in the skies of the planet. Prix. The final character being added to the roster is Emperor Velo XXVII. And the three new karts are: Void Manta, the Velo Chopper and the Galactic Cruise.
The Gasmoxia Gran Prix will be the game’s eighth and last themed event. With each even adding new content to the game. In total there have been 51 characters, 40 karts, 40 tracks, and 321 characters skins included in-game.
This doesn’t mean that Beenox is done supporting the game. Instead, the game will be updated to include new daily, weekly, and monthly challenges spread across all modes of play.
Completing the challenges will earn players Wumpa Coins, which can be used to purchase items from the Pit Stop. Karts, characters, and other cosmetics will return from previous Grand Prix seasons and Beenox has promised that even more new items are coming.
