Sony has revealed that Minecraft Bedrock Edition is launching on the PS4 today, bringing with it cross-play across all platforms. The good news is that existing owners of the game will get the same content as part of update v1.14, which will be available to download for free.
The content, aside from cross-play, will include the Minecraft Marketplace where PS4 players will be able to get skins, mini-games, new worlds and more. The update also means the PS4 version of the game is finally on par with other platforms.
The cross-play functionality means that PS4 players will be able to play with players on other consoles and devices, including Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10 and mobile versions of the game.
