Square Enix has released a bunch of new screenshots for Final Fantasy VII Remake, giving us a closer look at the game’s new Materia system. The new screenshots were revealed in a tweet from the FFVII twitter account.
Players of the original game will know that Materia allows characters to cast magic spells, summon assistance, and add skills to aid battles.
In Final Fantasy Remake, Square Enix has confirmed that Materia will still play a key role, but there have been some changes in how this system works. Certain Materia that appeared in the original game has been removed with new Materia being added.
Summons are also a massive part of any Final Fantasy game. We already know that the Cactuar and Carbuncle Summons will make an appearance, which will be available with the Special Editions of the game.
