PS4 Firmware v6.50 is out of beta and now available to download by the general public. In addition to the features mentioned in the beta, the main addition to this firmware is Remote Play support for iOS devices.
The update isn’t mandatory at the moment, but may be required by some newer games before you can use them.
Remote Play has been available on supported Sony Android devices for a few years now, but this is the first time Sony is allowing iOS devices to use the feature. Let’s hope this also means that Remote Play will get extended to all Android devices in the near future.

- You can now enjoy Remote Play on iOS devices. You can use (PS4 Remote Play) to connect to your PS4 system from devices such as smartphones and tablets. Download (PS4 Remote Play) from the App Store.
- You can now choose 720p when you broadcast using Niconico Live. This service is only available in certain countries and regions.
- You can now change the button assignment to perform “Enter” operations from the (circle) button to the (cross) button.
Select (Settings) > [System] and then select the checkbox for [Use (cross) Button for Enter]. This option is only available for specific countries and regions.
