Sony has announced that the cost of PlayStation Vue’s multi-channel plans are set to increase starting 24th July 2018. The four plans: Access, Core, Elite and Ultra; will each go up by $5 per month, and will come into effect for current subscribers by the end of the month. The price increase does not affect the add-on and standalone channels.
The reason for the increase was down to the need to “keep pace with rising business costs and enable us to continue offering a better way to watch the best in live sports, entertainment, and news.” Sony plans to add more broadcast stations and content that resonates with fans, as well as ongoing feature enhancements.
PS Vue was recently listed as the top pay-TV streaming service by the American Customer Satisfaction Index, and Sony will be looking to maintain that position. Sony last increased the price for PS Vue back in July 2017.
