Sony has opened up registration for the next major firmware update for the PS4, The beta is scheduled to start in early August, but no details about the expected features or changes to the PS4 have been revealed just yet. Head over to the EU or US registration pages to register your interest.
Lets hope details on what PS4 Firmware v5.00 will contain are revealed soon. And if the past two betas are anything to go by, we can expect some much requested functionality and features to improve our experience.
Registration will close once the beta starts. You must be over 18 to take part, and have access to a master account. If you are successful, Sony will email you instructions on how to access the beta.
If you install the beta software, note that it may be unstable and could cause your PS4 to crash. However, you can go back to the last stable firmware version at any points. Remember to back-up your data before installing the beta software.
