Sony has announced the sequel to PS4 launch title Knack, which will be launching this September. Knack 2 will build on the gameplay from the first title, adding more combat, platforming, and puzzles for players to solve. In addition, the game will also include a few special modes of play, such as driving a tank.
Similar to the first game, Knack grows in size as he picks up parts. He can grow from human sized to many times larger than that, but now the player has some control over Knack’s size. Just tap R1 and he shrinks down to two feet tall.
In addition, Knack also has a expanded move set, for example, using his parts to create a shield to parry arrows and other attacks. He can also throw parts like a boomerang to stun enemies, or stretch out his arms to pull enemies in from a distance.
Like the first game, couch co-up will be part of Knack 2, allowing a second player to jump right in (or out) of the game. However, this time around, Knack will be able to make use of special co-op attacks, like unleashing a flurry of punches on the second Knack, spraying his parts like a machine gun at enemies and damaging them.
