Released back in September 2013, Grand Theft Auto V has been a popular title for the PS4 and other platforms, rarely leaving the game charts. It turns out that the game has sold over 80 million copies since release, with 75% of them in physical form.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has revealed that that newcomers to the PS4 and Xbox One are the ones who are keeping the game in the charts.
Grand Theft Auto Online had another “record year” as well, delivering year-on-year bookings growth in Q4, and “substantially exceeding our expectations,” says Zelnick. It was also the “single-largest contributor to recurrent consumer spending” over the last quarter.
