Konami has announced the next annual release in the Pro Evolution Soccer series, aptly named PES 2018. The game will be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC on 14th September 2017, while all other platforms have been left out, including the recently released Nintendo Switch.
There is not much you can improve in a football game year-on-year, however, Konami have revealed a number of improvements in the upcoming version:
- Contextual shielding to protect the ball
- Real Touch+, which adds a new dimension to ball control
- New free-kick and penalty system
- New option to start a match with the new one player kick-off
- Two new modes:
- Random Selection Match
- Online Co-Op (2v2 and 3v3)
- Improvements to Master League mode, including:
- Pre-match interviews and locker room scenes
- Pre-season tournaments
- Improved transfer system
- New user interface and improved visuals
- True-to-life stadium lighting, pitch turfs and player tunnels
- Reworked animation system using motion capture
- Reworked player models

Lots of improvements have been made, and the above teaser trailer is just a start. A full trailer will be released on 13th June 2017, and more details about the game will be revealed in the run-up to release.
