If you haven’t experienced Blizzard’s latest shooter, Overwatch, you’ll be happy to know that the game will be playable for free this coming weekend. The Overwatch Free Weekend will be begin this Friday, 9th September 2016 from 7pm BST, and running until 12.00pm BST on Monday, 12th September. The free weekend will let you play almost the entire game, sample all 22 characters, play on every map and do so in Quick Play, Custom Games and the Weekly Brawl
The only exception is the Competitive Play mode. You’ll even be able to level up and earn loot boxes, so that if you decide to buy the full game later on you won’t lose any progress.
More good news is that this trial does not need an active PlayStation Plus subscription on PS4. So, you will be able to trial the game even if you’re not a subscriber. However, if you decide to purchase the game at a later date, PlayStation Plus will be required to play online.
On 9th September, search for “Overwatch Free Weekend” on the PlayStation Store to download the game. It’s 15GB in size, so you’ll need to allow a few hours to download the game before you can play.
