In more news from the Sony’s TGS 2015 press conference, Japan is to get more colour options for the PS4. From November 6th, gamers in Japan will be able to purchase individual coloured replacements for the removable HDD panel, with nine colours to choose from. There are also four new DualShock 4 colour schemes on the way too, with gold, silver, steel black and translucent crystal options.
The customisable HDD panels will let you add a splash of colour to your black or white PS4 console, and will retail for ¥2,500 (around £15). Initially, seven colours will be available from November, including Aqua Blue, Red, Purple, Pink and Lime Green. Gold and Silver options will be available in the future.
It’s decently priced so you may be able to import these to Europe and the US.
Alongside the new colour options, the price of the PS4 console is also dropping down to ¥34,980 from ¥39,980, which goes into effect on October 1st. At the current exchange rates, this makes the PS4 under £200, excluding sales tax.
