The PS4 has finally been updated with a media player. A new Media Player icon will appear on the PS4’s Dynamic Menu letting you download the new application and allow you to play various video, audio and image formats. The Media Player works with both your home server and when plugging a USB stick with media into one of the available ports on the PS4.

The media players supports a number of formats, which should have you covered for pretty much anything you want to watch or listen to.
