Porting MediaMolecule’s Tearaway to another console would have been impossible due to the specific nature of the controls on the PS Vita. However, the DualShock 4 offers the closest set of controls for the game, which is why a modified version of the game is coming to the PS4 next year. Tearaway Unfolded in a expanded version of the original game, adapted for the PS4 and rebuilt from the ground up to use the unique features of the DualShock 4.
The game will feature a bigger and more vibrant world, all running at 1080p and targeting 60fps. As for the controls, you’ll be able to use the DualShock 4 touchpad to unleash gusts of wind to unfold bridged, or send enemies flying. The power can also be used propel Atoi through the skies in a paper plane, as shown in the trailer below. The DualShock 4’s lightbar will be used to light the way for Atoi, but also means you’ll need a PlayStation Camera to enjoy this game.
