PS4 launch title, Resogun, will be getting DLC content next month, titled Heroes, along with a patch to the game. The DLC will introduce two brand new modes called ‘Survival’ and ‘Demolition’. The patch will be available on June 23rd 2014, with the Heroes expansion available from June 25th for €4.99.
Survival is an endless mode that retains a lot of the core mechanics from the original Arcade mode. We switched up a few things like scoring and also gave the humans parachutes as you can see in the image below. The mode also include Day/Night cycle.
Demolition the second new mode that completely switches up the core mechanics of the game. Basically you get a “Wrecking Ball” that you manipulate to demolish all that comes in your way. You can only mode around the screen, and are limited to a proximity explosion. This mode means you have no boost, overdrive or bombs.
As for the patch, it will include lots of small fixed to improve the original game, and adds new leaderboard and friend functions. Existing owners will also get the new Ship Editor and local co-op mode for free.
Future expansions will add yet more game modes, along with a range of other content, additional trophies and the original soundtrack, and the season pass is attractively priced at a lowly €7.99, which is simply a steal for the convenience it offers and ensuring you have the full and definitive RESOGUN experience.
