Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will be getting a price drop on PS4 and Xbox One, reducing the price to match the digital versions of the game on next-gen consoles. The price has been dropped from the original RRP of £39.99 to £29.99. The cost of the digital version for PS3 and Xbox 360 will remain at £19.99.
The price drop may be in relation to the fact that the game is only two hours long, including the cut scenes. However, Konami has put a different spin on the price drop:
“With the new pricing set for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Konami aims to provide as many people as possible an opportunity to experience Kojima Productions’ new FOX Engine and the first instalment in the two-part Metal Gear Solid V experience.”
The second and final part of the MGS V experience is MGS V: The Phantom Pain, though Konami have not release any more information regarding it.
