Following Sony’s announcement of PlayStation Now yesterday at CES 2014, a number of hands-on videos have appeared on YouTube showing the service in action. Leveraging Gaikai’s advanced cloud streaming features, the hands-on video below shows Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us (PS3) running on a PS Vita, and God of War: Ascension (PS3) bring streamed to a PS3.
Sony says the service will support a number of other top titles including, but not limited to, Beyond: Two Souls and Puppeteer. Pricing for the service hasn’t been revealed, but there will at least two options: rent titles individually or purchase subscription and access multiple titles.
A closed beta is planned in North America at the end of January with full roll-out in the Summer. Europe and other countries will have to wait, with Sony still working on logistics. Hopefully it launches in Europe this year too.
