The PS4 has launched in eleven more counties as of this morning, adding Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Slovakia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and South Africa to the list of launch countries. This means the PS4 is now available in 48 countries around the world, compared to just 13 countries for the Xbox One.
In addition, PS4 also goes on sale today in Bolivia, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. More countries will be added to the list later this month and into early 2014, with many Asian countries joining the list next week, and Japan in February 2014. The console has already sold more than 2.1 million consoles worldwide, and today’s launch is sure to boost that number further.
