Sony has experienced record-breaking sales for the PS4 after launching the console in 32 countries. The PS4 sold over 1 million units in the first 24 hours of sale in North America on November 15th, and has sold over 2.1 million units worldwide after the console released in Europe and Latin America on November 29th.
“It’s an impressive and record-setting accomplishment for our company and for our industry, and we couldn’t have done it without you.,” says Andrew House. “I want to personally thank PlayStation fans, both old and new, for your vote of confidence. The best part: the PS4 journey has just begun.”
The PS4 sales figure is set to grow further is coming weeks as the console launches in UAE and South Africa next week (December 13th 2013), followed by Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia and India later in December. Japan won’t be seeing the PS4 until February 2014.
