Konami have announced that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will be released on the PS3, PS4 and other consoles in Spring 2014. The retails version of the game will cost just £29.99 on the PS3 and Xbox 360, but will be £10 cheaper if purchased via the PlayStation Store, at just £19.99.
The next-gen version of the game will £29.99 if purchased from the PlayStation Store. Ground Zeroes is the prologue to the full Metal Gear Solid 5, called The Phantom Pain, so it makes sense that the game is priced less than a full game, but its the first time the digital version of the game has been significantly cheaper than the retail version.
It’s also the first time the prologue has been released as a separate title. The release date for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is still unknown.
