Naughty Dog has revealed the first of three DLC packs for The Last of Us, titled the Abandoned Territories Map Pack, which will be available to download on October 16th, in addition to detailing out the other two DLC packs. The first map pack will feature four new multiplayer maps to enjoy: Suburbs, Bus Depot, Hometown and Bookstore.
The second DLC pack is a single-player DLC pack with strong ties into the narrative of the main game, and will introduce new characters. This second pack is currently planned for release around the December-January timeframe.
Finally, the third DLC pack will be multiplayer focused and will arrive in the first half of 2014. Naughty Dog will reveal more information about this third pack closer to release.
If you’re a Season Pass holder, you’ll get all three DLC packs, saving you over 75% compared to purchasing the DLC individually. The Season Pass will also include bonus items, with over 60 different head items for your multiplayer character, free to pass holders. The Last of Us Season Pass DLC is available now on PlayStation Store for only €19.99.
