Sony’s PlayStation 4 press release has confirmed that the new console will include cross-game chat – one of the most requested features on the PS3. ‘Through PS4, users are able to deepen their connections through co-op play or “cross-game chat”,’ says the press release.
The press release also re-affirms the other features of the PS4 made public at the PlayStation Meeting last week, including the PS4’s second screen capabilities, shared game experiences and the use of Gaikai’s technologies to allow cloud gaming. It’s good to know that features that didn’t make it on the PS3 are still being considered for the next-generation console.
