The hightly anticipated Grand Theft Auto V has been delayed according to Rockstar. Originally due for release this Spring, the open-world title has been pushed back to September 2013. In fact, Rockstar has revealed a firm release date for September, instead of just a release window.
The game will “arrive in stores on September 17, 2013.” according to a statement from Rockstar. “We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time,” it continues.
Rockstar hasn’t given a specific reason for the delay, other than wanting to give the game more polish before it’s released. “GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require,” says the statement.
